Give It Up for Kevin Nealon at The Ice House for A Night Out in Playhouse Village
Don’t be sorry! Get your tickets to see comedy legend Kevin Nealon headline A Night Out in Playhouse Village on February 11 at Pasadena’s Ice House, the nation’s oldest comedy club. Join neighbors, businesses, and civic leaders for a high-energy evening of comedy and community spirit to raise vital funds for free public programs that bring Playhouse Village to life all year long.
Headliner Kevin Nealon’s spot in the comedy pantheon was cemented by nine seasons on Saturday Night Live, where he created The Subliminal Man and Hans and Franz and anchored Weekend Update. His career spans stand-up, television and films. He starred in Showtime’s Weeds, released the stand-up special Now Hear Me Out, and appeared in more than two dozen films, including Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, and Anger Management.
“Consider this celebration as an early Valentine to our neighborhood in Downtown Pasadena. Let’s keep it a first-rate place to live, work, do business, relax and play. 100% of the proceeds from this friend-raiser and fund-raiser will benefit free community programs.” said Arash Danialifar, Playhouse Village Foundation Chair. From jazz concerts and outdoor movies to games, fitness activities, and a wildly popular Halloween costume contest for pups and their people, Playhouse Village Park is a community hub. Proceeds from this event also support public art installations, al fresco dining experiences, and pedestrian-friendly improvements—all free and open to residents and visitors from across Pasadena and Altadena.
A coalition of more than 50 sponsors and auction donors dedicated to Playhouse Village’s vitality have come together for this evening. Leading the charge, LagerlofCares, the charitable arm of Lagerlof LLP, is the Village Hero Sponsor, joined by Gold Sponsors GD Realty, IDB Bank and our newest Playhouse Village business Robbins Brothers Fine Jewelers, and Silver Sponsor Block by Block. More than a dozen local businesses and individuals joined them as Bronze and Village Sponsors. Adding to the excitement, dozens of local restaurants, hotels, and businesses and entertainment venues have donated coveted silent and live auction items.
