Attorney Rudy Ruiz Joins Playhouse Village Foundation Leadership
Jordan D. Segall, a litigation partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson, has joined the Board of Directors of Pasadena’s Playhouse Village Foundation. “Jordan Segall brings a trifecta of resources to our foundation board: legal and professional expertise, local roots, and enthusiasm for Playhouse Village” announced Playhouse Village Foundation Chair Phil Hawkey.

“I not only work in Playhouse Village, I am also a property owner here. So I see both the potential and the needs of Playhouse Village. I am especially excited that the Mentor Avenue corridor is now coming into its own. I look forward to this challenge,” noted Ruiz.
Mr. Ruiz is a managing partner at Vanderford and Ruiz, and an experienced trial attorney whose specialties include employment, public entity defense, construction defect, rail, personal injury, real property, and general litigation. Before founding Vanderford & Ruiz, Mr. Ruiz served as Deputy Public Defender for the County of Los Angeles. A former Trustee of the Mexican American Bar Association, Mr. Ruiz was also a Transportation Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles under Mayor Richard Riordan. He received his law degree from Stanford University, where he was Associate Editor of the Stanford Law Review. He graduated with honors from Harvard College with a B.A. degree in Government.
Mr. Ruiz also volunteers for MiMentor/Alliance in Mentorship, an organization devoted to increasing the ranks of diverse doctors and medical professionals nationwide to better provide medical care to underserved communities.
