Our Mission

The Playhouse Village Foundation (PVF) 501©3 charitable organization was launched in 2021 to support the Playhouse Village Association’s priority initiatives to improve and activate public spaces, streets and sidewalks to further enhance Playhouse Village in the Heart of Pasadena.

What We Do

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization raising support to directly address three core areas:

  1. Playhouse Village Park: Playhouse Village’s first green space and a premier urban pocket park, operated and programmed by the PVA in partnership with City of Pasadena.
  2. Street Experience: Transforming our streets into dynamic, enjoyable spaces through on-street dining pavilions, public art installations, and other pedestrian-friendly improvements.
  3. Events and Programming: Community building programming including outdoor concerts & movies, seasonal celebrations, family & community events, and fitness & wellness classes.

Resources for the Playhouse Village community and public space are currently limited to the Playhouse Village Association and the City of Pasadena. The Playhouse Village Foundation creates a new way for the private sector, individuals and non-profit partners to get involved and join together to improve and activate public spaces, streets and sidewalks to further enhance Playhouse Village in the heart of Pasadena.
